My Hope for the Future

Hello! I hope that you’ve manage to wind down and relax over the holiday season, unfortunately I’ve had an earlier break than expected as I’ve got the flu :[ but things aren’t too bad, I’m looking forward to 2011 and the work God’s got lined up for me!  I can’t wait to find out more about my role in my placement and hope that I’ll grow into it soon.  Please pray that God will equip me, in January I’ll begin to step out more and need His strength in doing so.
I can’t believe 2010 is behind us, and as I reflect on all that’s happened I’m happy :] a lot has taken place: I launched this website, self-published my second book, moved house, started Bible college and began as the student youth worker in Second Comber!  I can see God’s hand in it and have the assurance that He’ll continue to guide me in 2011.  I’m thankful for His faithfulness, it’s been a struggle going out on my own without a publisher but I’m confident He knows what He’s doing even though I don’t!!
My hope and plan for 2011 would be to begin writing articles in the hope that they will be published in Christian magazines.  This is a competitive business and won’t be easy getting into, but hopefully it will open doors.  Please let this be your prayer.  I also hope to take more speaking engagements, which is proving to be a struggle at the minute for various reasons, please pray that God will show me where I am to be.  In the incoming year I also hope to develop working with radio stations so that a wider audience will be blessed by my devotions.  Please pray that God will make this possible.  Once again I’m prepared to put in the work, I’d appreciate your prayers of support in this.
Looking over the past year and looking forward to the year to come I’m assured of one thing: even though time may change things God remains to be the same.  I’ve had to remind myself of this fact when I’ve been faced with problems this year but I’m sure that God will see me through the next.  Thanks to all who have prayed faithfully, you’re such a support.  That’s all from me for now, wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, connie x

Raring to Go!

Good evening all!
Life has been crazy the past while, but I’m enjoying it so that’s not a complaint!  I’m very settled in Second Comber and can’t wait until 2011 as it’s then that I’ll really begin to get my teeth stuck in!  Up until now I’ve visited the GB, BB, special Sunday school, and Sunday school to name but a few things as well as being involved in the local drop-in centre and the youth fellowship, Bible class, youth club and youth council in Second Comber.  So please pray that I’ll serve Him well through finding my role in each of these ministries and continuing to build on the relationships I’ve began to make.
I’ve a lot to be thankful for, I managed to meet my coursework deadlines this week, leaving me free as a bird from assignments until college starts up in January again.  I’ve also made good progress when it’s came to writing journals so I’ve actually ahead of myself.  Thanks to everyone who’s been praying for this, I’ve overcoming the mountain of coursework- thank God!
When ‘frank’ was released I did a lot of ground work and a fair bit of promotion but then decided to put on the brakes and ease off for a few weeks until I got through my first term.  And now it’s behind me I’m raring to go!  I’ve got a full week off for Christmas from my Church placement so if anyone up in Tyrone/Fermanagh would like me to visit their Church or youth group please drop me an email and I’d only be too happy to take you up on your offer if it’s at all possible. I’m back home in Fivemiletown from the 25th of December to the 2nd of January so if you want a visit let me know when and where and I’ll plan to be there if possible!
God bless, connie :]
